About
Amira Tara Music Productions – Connecting Cultures Through Music.
Maren Lueg is the founder of Amira Tara Music Productions; she is the driving force who brought the project to life and serves as both the creative manager and artistic heart of the project. We represent a variety of musicians and ensembles, specialising in Middle Eastern musical traditions and creative fusion projects. Our aim is to celebrate and foster cultural diversity, uniting musical traditions from around the world. Our artists are based in Germany and the UK and are dedicated to bringing the authentic sounds of Middle Eastern and Indian music to a wide audience.
Music/Bands
Our musicians from Germany, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Kurdistan, Syria, Turkey, and the United Kingdom offer a wide range of traditional musical repertoires from across the Middle East, along with a vibrant selection of fusion projects.
Ensemble Nagham (Arabic), Mazaj (Arabic/Turkish), Hamam Abbiad (Arabic), and Trio El Shams (Arabic) perform traditional Middle Eastern music.
Our fusion projects include: KosMoTronix (Multimedia / Persian / Arabic / Electronica), EastWest Pacem Orchestra (Arabic / Western Classical), Dub Arabi (Arabic / Electro-Oriental Fusion featuring the renowned producer and musician, The Spy From Cairo), Amira Sultana (Middle Eastern / Indian), Amira El Sharq (Arabic, Armenian, Turkish, Kurdish, and Indian)
Education
At Amira Tara Music Production, we offer immersive workshops that introduce participants to the vibrant world of Middle Eastern music and percussion. Open to all experience levels, our sessions delve into the unique elements of this musical tradition, including maqams (melodic scales), taqasim (improvisation), and iqa’at (rhythmic cycles), as well as the use of traditional instruments like the Darabuka, Riq, Duff, and Ney flute. We are able to cater for group workshops as well as one to one tuition and traditional instruments are provided for participants.
